Terms of service
These terms cover your use of Flight: the focus timer at flightsession.app, its free tools, its blog and this website (together, “Flight”). By using Flight, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Using Flight
Flight is a focus timer: you pick a destination and focus for as long as the flight would take, while a plane crosses the map. You may use it for your own focus sessions, personal or for work. Please don't:
- use it to break the law or to harm anyone;
- try to break or overload Flight, get around how it works, or get into parts of it you're not meant to;
- copy, resell or scrape Flight or its content, or use it to build a competing product;
- take the maps, data or sounds that Flight shows you and use them outside the app.
Estimates, not advice
The flight times, distances, time differences, jet lag estimates and everything else that the app, the free tools and the blog show are estimates. They're for focus sessions and rough planning, not real timetables, navigation or medical advice. Don't rely on them to book flights, make connections or make decisions about your health.
Paid plans
Some features of Flight may need a paid plan. Before you pay, you'll see the price, how often you'll be billed, and what's included.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it handles payment, billing, invoices and sales tax, and its Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Dodo Payments customer portal (the link is in your receipt email), or by emailing us. Once you cancel, you won't be charged again.
- Refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy.
- Price changes never apply to a period you've already paid for. If the price of your plan changes, we'll tell you before your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you want to.
Our content
Flight's software, design, text and name belong to us. You're welcome to share links to Flight and screenshots of your flights. Map data belongs to Apple or Mapbox and their data providers, airport data comes from OurAirports (public domain), and some sounds are recordings used under their creators' licenses.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Flight, without owing you anything for them.
Other services
Flight relies on other companies for maps, hosting, analytics, the feedback form and payments. Their services come with their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.
Changes and availability
We're always working on Flight, so features change, and Flight may sometimes be unavailable. We may change or stop parts of it. If a change takes away something important from a paid plan you're on, we'll tell you in advance, and you can cancel.
No warranties
Flight is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond these terms: we don't promise that it will always work, that it will be free of errors, or that its estimates will be accurate.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Flight, such as lost profits, lost data, or missed flights or connections. Our total liability to you for any claim about Flight is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Ending
You can stop using Flight at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you live in another country, you keep any rights its consumer laws give you that can't be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and if a change matters, we'll say so on the site. If you keep using Flight after a change, the updated terms apply.
